The mission of the Digital Scholarship Studio at the New College of Florida is to cultivate a culture of experimentation using digital technology in pedagogy and research. We collaborate with students, faculty, and staff in designing, implementing, and preserving works of digital scholarship. The Digital Scholarship Studio is an initiative spearheaded by the Jane Bancroft Cook Library, with support from the Office of the Provost. The Studio serves as an umbrella group for affiliated faculty and students working with digital methodologies, in fields such as digital humanities and new media studies. The Studio also collaborates with other campus units, including the Office of Educational Technology and the Information Technology. Ultimately, the Digital Scholarship Studio, together with its partners in administrative and academic units, tries to encourage an intellectually vibrant atmosphere which supports experimentation with digital technology.
